6400M - "Please wait ... " - what a disappointment!

Received a brand new 6400M on Dec. 10. What a great radio! Until yesterday, a mere 8 days later, when it fails to boot and gives me the "Please wait ..." screen. Tried a reset, which didn't help. I run the radio stand-alone, using the latest software (3.1.12). When an expensive new piece of equipment fails after less than two weeks, you can't help but feel very disappointed. Have started a service request but given that this happened on a Friday I won't hear anything for a few days and am hoping Flex hasn't shut down from the Christmas break. (And another element of great timing: the failure happened just as I was about to start working the Radio Amateurs of Canada Winter Contest.) I love the radio, and I'm sure my problem will be taken care of, but I'm bummed that my brand new radio will have to be out of service for a while, and very disappointed that Flex would sell a high-end product that is known to be (based on the other postings I have seen) so unstable.

I feel so bad for you. I have a 6400M. It's a couple years old at least. I've never any trouble with it. I hope they get you taken care of super quick!
