Any info for possible new Flex model?

I have had my 6600 for almost 3 years. Is there any info about a new model being announced?

Since Dayton was cancelled, the Flex 9000 release scheduled for then went back into the Flex Skunk Works. Rumor has it that it's a HF/6/2/220/432/1296 SDR that will provide 100 watts on all bands, dual simultaneous transmit functions, and full duplex.

An advanced user-optical interface will allow operation using Oculus or other VR hardware, with (initially) limited functionality from the (under development) FlexGoggles. FlexGoggles will provide an immersive radio experience with IR tracking of your eyes for tuning and CW transmission. All known digital modes will be natively displayed on either the rig's HDMI output or in FlexGoggles. Advanced speech recognition will allow digital QSOs with no prior experience.

The game changing feature in this new rig will be the AI interface. A virtual assistant will be on hand to provide you with live help for all configuration and operation questions. More than a manual, FlexBuddy will be your second operator, coaching you and standing by to take on DX spotting, logging, and other management tasks.

The Flex 9000 is tentatively scheduled for release 2Q 2021, right around 1 April.
