FLEX 6600 and remote issue

Member ✭✭✭
I have tested the Westmountain Remote power box and when my radio has the GPSDO stops the radio boot up process for remote ops , How do you get pass this , remove or uninstall the GPSDO. How can the FLEX 6600 remote with a GPDO? How do I get pass this?

Do not remove power from the Flex Radio.  The Flex always needs the power to run the GPSDO and to send out VITA49 UDP broadcasts.

To shutdown remotely, use the "Remote Power On"  RCA type connector on the back of the radio.  Here is a description from the Hardware Manual.

This RCA connector is provided for remote power-on functionality. When the Remote Power ON feature is enabled, shorting this input to ground will activate the radio - opening this connector will disable the power on the radio.
