6300 clicking sound when transmitting when EQ is on

I have been told that I transmit a clicking sound when I have the EQ turned on. This was on 80m, very low power and the EQ turned on. With the EQ turned off no clicking. Again, this is only when I speak that the clicking is being heard by the receiving station.

If I turn off the EQ only, the "clicking" when transmitting stops. The sound is not heard at my end, just by the operator listening to my transmission. He reported that the clicking was not rythmic as in at specific intervals but more associated with my voice when speaking. If that makes sense?

I think the clicking is the very high level 8K frequencies being clipped by being out of the transmit pass-band. The transmit pass-band is restricted to the bandwidth of approximately 3k voice frequencies with everything higher being cut by the transmit filter. There are no useful voice frequencies above about 5K.
I recommend changing the the Transmit eq to cut everything 4K and higher. The cut of the lows at 63 and 125 is probably OK, since there is not much voice intelligibility at those frequencies. The general rule is to cut before boost. Boost cant alter what isn't there.

John,
You nailed it. I made the changes you suggest and the clicking "sound" went away.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
