Is 1500 W CW power the same as 1500W PEP.?

The CW Prefix contest is coming up soon and I want to run maximum power with my new PGXL during the contest.  I expect to work mostly 80 & 40.

When you drive a PGXL hard, as during a contest.  I recommend paying attention to the PA temperature and using the appropriate fan profile. The contest profile at a minimum.   When I run a PGXL hard, I select broadcast mode.  When we perform keydown tests in the service lab we use the broadcast profile as well.

The amplifier's thermal management firmware will fold power back at 80C by reducing Vdd, and will prevent TX entirely if it exceeds 90C.
