    A few things

How is the radio connected to the Maestro?  Lan?  WiFi?

Can you test with just a LAN cable connected between the Maestro and the Radio?  Turn off both.  Hook up a LAN cable between the Maestro and the Radio (no switches, routers, or anything else) and see if it works correctly.

If it does, then something is blocking the communication in your network and we will need more details to help diagnose the problem.

Let us know what you find out.

Maestro is connected via Ethernet. It is the one controlling  PTT.  It talks to the 6300 fine. Computer also connected via Ethernet on same subnet. It appears to connect to the radio just fine. Fresh install of SmartSDR. Though SSDR  on the old computer system acted the same. It's not easy to connect the Maestro to the radio directly. Rear backplane is not easily accessible. I am not using Smartlink. Is that required for this to work as expected?

The qustion eludes me.  Under MultiFlex(tm) Slice A on a Maestro is NOT slice A on SSDR

    Both are showing slice A.
The Red TX box is checked on both even when the other has PTT selected under multiflex. Both instances show up in multiflex. They simply do not track each other.

Of course they dont track each other. They are two separate clients under smart link. Each should work on the same band independently.

Well with boot the computer 14 come up on 20 meters and the Maestro is on 40 so that's true. But I'm not running smart link. I'm just to clients on the same LAN.

Erika, Tim, and Steve are correct. With MultiFlex, each client is independent.  It's easier, for me, to think of the radio as a web server with two browser sessions connected.  Each browser can be on different pages of the same website.
