SMARTLINK WORKING ONLY ON MY LOCAL HOME NETWORK??? HELP

I use my 6300 at home and connect using my wifi. And up until today, I was taking my laptop to work and was able to connect remotely. The radio was at home and I was using Smartlink to control the radio at home from work. Now It wont connect remotely when I am at work. Any Ideas, Nothing has changed as far as I know. I even took my laptop to another wifi and connected to the internet and was surfing the net fine, when I tried to use smartlink It will not connect.. I see my radio, and my callsign, but when I hit connect, I get nodda, says wont connect.. I Have to force close it using task manager.. Any Ideas would be appreciated. 73. Nick

The first step to diagnose is to turn off and remove power from computer, radio, modem, and router.
then...
1) Turn on modem and wait for it to boot up completely with all the right lights flashing.
2) Turn on the router, and wait for it to completely reboot....
3) Boot up your computer.
4) return power to the radio and turn it back on.
5) Start SmartSDR and hover over the radio icon in the "Radio Chooser" screen and look to see if it says "Radio Internet: Available" or not.
This is the first step to resetting your network and checking to see if your radio is connected to the internet.

Have you REGISTERED SamrtLink!! I had to do that in the MENU section of my 6600M radio. Then everything worked remotely! Yes, without registering it works on a home network, but it stops at that point! I registered it 7 months ago, but weather it was a software upgrade or ??? I had to register it again!0

Thank you gentlemen. Yes the 6300 is registered. However, I remember a few weeks back I renamed my laptop. Could that have caused the issue. As I stated before, It works on my home network. Thanks again.0

Renaming does not influece Smartlink.0

I shut all down and rebooted router and radio. Signed back in to smart link and now I'm at work all is good. Thanks for everything..... 730
