i have deleted these over and over again and they always reappear. Does that mean I have to make another new global profile?

CWX Messages are saved in the Global Profile.
If you Change CWX Messages and want to keep them, you can save the Global Profile using the same name and it will remember the changes.
There is no need to make a new Global Profile, unless you want to remember a different set of CWX messages in a different Global Profile.

I wish to delete them and have NO messages there at all. I can not do that. I can delete them and save to that profile. If I select another profile and go back to the original, they are all back again! I can even save a NEW global profile, but these CWX messages keep coming back. Pity there is no save/delete command in the setup.

Oh Dear!! Seven years later and I am still plagued by these CWX messages. I have even updated to the 8600 and they are still there… Please don't patronise me by saying how easy it is to do unless you can prove it. I have tried numerous times. I can delete them in one profile and re-save that global profile. Then when I try a second one, they all spring back again. Perhaps a simple process within the next issue of SMartSDR would be a good idea?
I wouldn't mind so much but they are within profiles I adopted from G3PDH when I first bought my 6600. The only real answer as far as I can see is to delete ALL profiles and start from scratch.
