Posting picture in the form I've noticed is all over the place, some seem to be taking pics with a phone...

Anyway there is a very simple program in windows that I use that works very cleanly.. it's called "snipit"

Simply open whatever it is you want to post about, open snipit, select "new", you will get a set of cross hairs to "snip" whatever in the box you create.. the snip will then show up, you can leave it as is, circle part of your snip, once you are happy with what you have then simply save it ..

in your post now just select the camera and drag your saved file to the box area.

It works really well.. this is however just for windows

hope this helps someone out there as pictures really help

Even easier, press Alt-PrintScreen. This takes a snapshot of the current window and saves it to the clipboard.

That works as well... the advantage of snipit is you only grab what you want and you can highlight, edit on the fly..

I just use Print screen and edit in Paint, at least on the Windows side. I use Photoshop on my Mac with Grab to take the image.

Integral to Windows is the Snipping Tool. No 3rd party software involved. Works a treat...

If you use the “Windows key” and S key as a keyboard short cut to “Snipping Tool” , just a little quicker in Win10. Dudley WA5QPZ

The “Windows key”, SHIFT, and S key as a keyboard short cut is even quicker.

Thanks David and Dudley,  this is the snipit I made.  Dudley, your Win10 tip helped me find Snipit.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
