v3 possible bugs found

I purchased and installed v3 this morning and wanted to report a few odd issues I have noticed:

- I connected to my 6600 using SmartSDR and also using SmartSDR iOS. When transmitting on one of the two, the S-meter of the one that is receiving in FDX mode goes to 0 and shows no activity.
- Testing back and forth TX/RX between the two (SmartSDR and SmartSDR iOS) resulted in several unexpected disconnects.

What is your radio model?

Matt,
This will work then. Just be sure you are receiving on a separate antenna input. For example if you are transmitting on ANT 1 then you should be receiving on ANT 2, RA A or RX B. Try this and let me know if it works. Doing this brings both Spectral Capture Units (SCUs) into operation.

Matt,
It sounds like you may be getting RFI into your wifi signal. Does it still disconnect if you turn the RF power down to 0?0 -
Eric -- I was testing both from a remote location away from the shack, and the 6600 is connected to the network using a 100% wired connection.
I will test again with 0W of output to confirm that there is not some kind of RF related issue going on.

I tested again using two instances of SmartSDR and I am no longer seeing the problems.2

Mack, do you know how I would tell if the two clients are using the same SCU? Is the SCU indicated somewhere on the UI so that I can confirm that my antenna choices don't force both to share one?1

When running SmartSDR on the PC and the iPad, I could transmit on either with no disconnects.
However, I noticed that transmitting on the PC seemed to be changing the mic profile on the iPad and vice versa. The mic profile on the iPad would change to the PC's mic profile and vice versa.
I'm using a 6500. Since there isn't much documentation, this could just be operator error.
I haven't tried it with two instances of SmartSDR, but I will.

Lawrence,
I wouldn't expect this behavior. Both the PC and iPad can be on different Mic Profiles. Note that if they are on the same Mic Profile, then any changes you make on one of the clients will be reflected on the other. What Mic Profiles are you using on the PC and on the iPad?

I have a specific iPad Mic profile, which is used only on the iPad. I have several Mic profiles used with the PC. In this particular case, I was using a profile for my Heil HC6 headset. If I transmitted on the iPad, when I returned to the PC, I would find the PC's Mic profile set to the iPad. Similarly, when I transmitted on the PC using the Heil profile, when I returned to the iPad, the Heil profile would be selected. No changes were made to the profiles during this testing.
I just saw the comment about starting the iPad before starting SSDR in the PC, so I am going to do some additional experimentation.0
