Are my heatsinks going to fall off?

Hi,
I was talking to a fellow 6600m owner today and he said he experienced the heatsink fall off problem and wondered if I had too.  I said I hadn't, so far.

He went on to say that there is a list of serial numbers of vulnerable radios somewhere on this website, but I can't find it.  I would appreciate it someone could direct me to that list.  Or, even better, tell me if my radio is in it.

My 6600m has serial number : 1918-9765-6601-3255 and was shipped 5/21/2018.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards,
James Charlton   AD0AB

I believe Flex directly connected with all the owners who were affected by the possible problem.  So, if you didn't receive a note from them with the offer of the fix, then you're probably after the problem was fixed at the assembly point.  You could also check directly with Flex via their Sales line to see if your rig was part of the recall.

Only those who own a 6400/6600 and their radio shipped prior to April 12, 2018 received the Product Enhancement Notice (PEN) by email today.  All radios shipped starting on that date including those serviced have the PEN installed.

    James,
It looks like you 6.6km is okay. This thread:
    https://community.flexradio.com/flexradio/topics/heatsinks-are-falling-off-in-6400-and-6600-models

has the cutoff date of April 12 for problematic heatsinks. That information in deep into the thread and posted by the Prez.

Thank you all for your fast responses.  My 6600M has performed flawlessly since I received it and it is the best radio I've ever operated.  I just wanted to be sure I wasn't accidentally subjecting it to some heat related damage.

I do a fair amount of CW contesting so the radio has to work hard.

    Again, thanks for the help,
