Did you know you can not backup Profiles on a 6600M?

Yes, Bootcamp is the solution.0

For future reference - Tom’s problem was that he was connecting to the radio through SmartLink and couldn’t save profiles.
There are a number of things you can't do over SmartLink, including update firmware and manage profiles.
Make sure your Parallels network connection is in Bridge mode so that you can connect to the radio directly and not through SmartLink.

Actually, the solution was putting Parallels into bridge mode so that he could connect directly to the radio instead of through SmartLink (you can't import/export profiles over SmartLink).0
-
Don, So your saying that saving profiles to an M model is not a problem?0
-
No, I said that saving profiles in SmartSDR under Parallels on a Mac is not a problem as long as you are connected directly to the radio - not through SmartLink. Bootcamp is not required.0
-
To clear up any confusion - I did not address the "M" profile issue or mark this thread as "Not a Problem". I only responded to the Parallels/Bootcamp/Mac comments.0

Super Good! It worked Don. Found the Network on Windows 7, did the Bridge, went to Profiles and saved to my iMac. This old knob guy can move on to the next landmine.
Thank You Don for all your patience and help. Now back to using your program DogPark.

Fantastic! Glad you got it working Tom0

Its not a perfect world but obsticles like this are easily overcome. You can buy a windows tablet to export your profiles to for about the same price as a larger capacity thumb drive.0
-
Maybe someone can log into the rig remotely and back up the profiles.0

It is what it is, flex is not going to change it, either love it or leave it!0
