Slows down the panadapter and waterfall to minimize data transfer. Mack W4AX Alpha Team0

Excerpt from the manual: NET This button allows you to reduce or increase the amount of Network Bandwidth and CPU power this App consumes. You can select Fast if you run the App on a fast device such as the iPad Pro and on fast local WiFi connection. In case of remote access via Cell/LTE/3G/4G networks or for slower devices, you can select Slow.0

Thanks Marcus for the amazingly quick reply.
Ok but how does this differ from the 'Low Bandwith connection'. I have a current iPhone 7 with sufficient CPU. I still need to turn off the waterfall and set the rate to 0 over on slow networks with 'Low Bandwith connection' set On and Net set to Slow. Could you let us know internally what this function is doing?

Not sure this is 100% correct.0

Ie is it simply slowing down the panadapter and waterfall to minimize data transfer as per Mack's post.0

Hi Tony,
in addition to what Mack wrote, I am reducing the amount of traffic and CPU time for processing the Panadapter and Waterfall data by sending fake (smaller) screen dimensions to the Radio. This way, the Radio assumes you have a smaller screen and just sends data sufficient for that smaller screen. The missing data is then interpolated by my App which is faster than receiving and processing the original data. You can see this when carefully watching and comparing the waterfall screens between the different NET settings. With a lower setting, the screen looks a bit blurry for instance.
For an iPhone 7 and for a 'normal' network connection, there is no need to set this NET setting to low or switch off the waterfall. Maybe you wat to try to power cycle your iPhone or try to find out if there are things going on in the background like downloading updates etc.
