CWX Buffer Issue

Using CWX (SSDR 1.10.16) I type ahead with the keyboard, and when I try to correct a typing error using backspace, I find that the transmitter is stopped, but the local side tone keeps on sending until buffer is empty
.
What am I doing wrong here? How to edit in the typeahead buffer?

You are doing nothing wrong. It has been reported, claimed to be fixed, and reported again quite a few times. Maybe in 2.x?0

I addressed this issue recently. This behavior has been fixed and will be available in the next release of SmartSDR.1

Thanks Tim.
Guess I did not fully understand your previous reply, hence my repeat. Looking forward to the "fix"

Mark, one simple workaround is to use the CWtype program. Works like a charm, no side tone, but that is no biggie using k/b. Infact i find it easier to jump between SSDR , logging s/w, web browser and using CWtype rather than a "working" CWX as it is simpler to point the mouse correctly. But that's just me

Hi Lasse, Yes CWType is nice but unfortunately if it is the one I'm thinking of it requires a send key I no longer have on my keyboard.
Anyway, I am building my own client for FRS6000 and plan to have CWX built into that.0 -
AFAIK there no "special" send key.... just push the TX button with mouse.
Infact both CWX and CWtype can run simultaneously and use either one of them.
I am about to try roll my own client too... have started to collect parts.
