How much uplink BW required for the Maestro using SmartLink

There is plenty of fiber downlink and uplink bw available at the Radio end of the remote connection but am curious of the approximate bw needed to run the 6700, AntennaGenius and PowerGenius XL over Smartlink using the Maestro.  Is 1MB uplink ok as that is about all thats available at camp.

Thanks

1 meg should do it, but you will have to cut down on your frame updates.  Since it is only 1M, bufferbloat may also be a concern.

If you measure, what do you get ?  www.dslreports.com/speedtest

The answer to this question is "it depends".  You have control over the amount of bandwidth sent from the radio to the Maestro (client) by adjusting the panadapter and waterfall frame and refresh rates.  By slowing down the amount of spectrum data you can significantly reduce your bandwidth requirements.  The default settings for one panafall display is approximately 2 mbps.  You can get this well under 1 mpbs by doing the frame rate adjustments.

I thought Larry was asking about upload from the Maestro.

"...the approximate bw needed to run the 6700..."

    That statement infers bi-directionality.

The high bandwidth usage is the upload at the radio end and the download at the client end.  The bandwidth needed for the opposite data flow is minimal as it is the command and control channel.

Hello..  Sri guys..was gone for the day.   There is NO problem with the Bandwidth at the Radio end (6700) as it is FTTH.  The ONLY constriction is on the "receiving" end where the Maestro is and that is only with the UPLINK side which struggles with 1 Mb.  The download side at the Maestro end is 18-20Mbs and more than enough to handle the incoming traffic from the 6700.
I sensed that the Maestro used minimal upload bw consuming instructions but was not sure how much would be required.
    Thanks
