FreeDV waveform updates

Who is the owner and maintaining the FreeDV waveform and is there a plan to provide updates? Steve posted a while ago that FlexRadio would be handing off support of the waveform. There are updates to the codec since the waveform was released. The addition of LSB support is needed even though it is a digital mode it is voice and follows the guideline of LSB below 10Mhz (except 60m). There is also a 700 mode that would good to have available along with the 1600 mode.

I wondered the same thing when posting. The thought I had was multiple waveforms  most likely four ex: F07L, F07U, F16L, F16U.

We did a very basic implementation only supporting only USB in one of the FDV modes.  Also, it is currently only geared to handle a single slice.

Thank you for sharing. Hopefully those with the skills will be able to take it over and provide updates to the waveform so FreeDV can be more of an integrated feature of SSDR.

Does anyone know if there are any updates on this? Now that version 3 is out, would love to play around with this more. I see activity on the waterfall at the 20m DV calling, would be great to join in.

I am not aware of anyone in the community picking the development from the starter that Flex provided. Personally I have just used the FreeDV software directly to use the current version.
