Maestro Velcro Worn Out

My Maestro battery Velcro strips holding the battery in have lost there grip. This allows the battery to move around in the battery compartment. Replacing the Velcro strips appears to involve removing security stickers to access the screws holding the back cover. This would void my warranty. It would be a shame to send the Maestro to the factory for this simple procedure.

Thoughts?

    Thank you for reminding me,
    I also have the same issue. 
    My Maestro, usage has been minimal but the Velcro needs to be replace or have the internal battery  charge internally.

    I don't have a Maestro or know about voiding the warranty but if the Maestro is using the type of Velcro closures I'm thinking of I'd suggest considering something like 3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fastener (googleable). There are different versions with different holding ability but I think they are all made for long-term on/off use without failing.

    I use some on my Motorcycle to hold gadgets to the dash. One thing fell off once but it's a Harley. It's a pretty challenging environment.

    Seems a talk to FRS guys or going to a Pad-on-battery and pad-in-Maestro-pocket are the suggestions?

    Wondering how the original **** is secured, as it could be possible to use it as a pull to work a new one through?

    Hmm... will look at mine tonight.

    Looks like they are threaded through the case and should be easy to replace. I agree with Kevs comments regarding getting some higher quality "Velco" if I replace it. The thickness and width of the strips are critical in this installation.

    You might try to cut some foam and shape it to the compartment and battery and you won't need to worry about Velcro or warranty.

    This particular type is to thick and hard to pull apart. The regular black Velcro may be better.  Or, as other have suggested a padded foam etc... May be better.
