Will present version of SDR make CAT track the TX slice so one can work SO2R on diffferent bands?

I know it works with N1MM+, but you must set it up properly using two CAT ports, one each dedicated to Slice A & Slice B, and a third CAT Port set up as OTRSP (Which handles the switching between the two ports.)
There are documents on this Community that detail how to set up N1MM+ for SO2R and SO2V.
I am not at the shack computer right now so I cannot direct you to the exact thread, but if you search N1MM+ and SO2R you should find several..

Hi Ken. I followed exatly those instructions like you describe. But my OM2500 will follow slice A even if I TX on slice B. The CAT command that steer OM2500 gives only the RX frequency. I remember some time ago from a thread that this was not solved.
If you work S02R on same band you can accept it since SWR is not changing a lot. But different bands that is something else. I have tested on 6300 - wonder if 6700 and another antenna terminal will make a difference.

I need some more details of your setup. Are you using DDUtil? You should be since it would follow the TX slice. You need to go under the "ports" tab and set it up exactly like this, except that the COM port number is the port number attached to the amp.
This configuration is ONLY if your amp has a single CAT. There is a different config for amps that have two inputs and 2 CAT ports, such as solid state SO2R ready amps (eg SPE Expert, Dishtronix Prometheus).

Hi Ria, no I am not using DDutil. Only a CAT COM port from SDR Cat to the amp via USB-RS232 adapter together with OTRSP to controll DXLog. So it seems that amp is not getting the right TX frequency info in a SO2R set up. Eventhough DXLog and Maestro indicate right TX slice. Yes I have a single CAT?
So will DDutil read the right TX slice frequency that CAT does not seem to "interprete right".

Kari - this capability will be available with the release of SmartSDR v1.10. Using a FTDI USB to serial port adapter, you can connect it to the FLEX-6000 and configure it as a CAT interface for providing band data that will track the TX slice.1

Hi Tim, well how nice. Perhaps as a Christmas present.....

No promises, but hopefully very soon.0

Yes, DDUtil will read the TX slice and send it to the port you specify. But as Tim mentioned this will be moot in the upcoming SSDR release.0
