SmartSDR for iOS and Apple TV ?

Anyone know if there is a plan for SmartSDR for iOS to be available as an "app" for Apple TV?  I guess the existing iOS SmartSDR can be "mirrored" from Iphone or Ipad to large screen TV but the Apple TV option would be useful too.

    Hi Andrew,

    thanks for this interesting question.

I developed one App some time ago that was one of the first available on AppleTV. Unfortunately, AppleTV misses a few API's that would prevent me to port smartSDR to AppleTV. Even though AppleTV runs iOS, it is a really stripped down version of iOS. Also, I am not quite sure if maintaining the Slices etc. would be convenient enough using the AppleTV Remote controller.

Yes, you are right, Screen mirroring to the AppleTV (AirPlay) is already possible with my App. Even though not really useful right now as Audio is currently missing. I guess it is missing because I chose a special profile especially to get most Bluetooth Headsets running which might be the reason why Audio will not be sent via AirPlay today.

Maybe I have to add a setting for this. I will investigate in this soon as I am already working on the next Version of smartSDR for iOS.

Thanks again Andrew and vy 73,
