Maestro review in August 'RadCom' (RSGB monthly pub)

My newly received August issue of 'RadCom' (the monthly publication of the Radio Society Of Great Britain) has a nice review of the Maestro unit (beginning on page 40) by G4WNC (Mike).
What I found most interesting is that Mike pulled the back off the reviewed unit (he gives us a view with the cover off) and I learned that the Maestro device consists of two assemblies : a Dell Venue 8 Pro Tablet (providing the touch screen) and a custom built board that handles the knobs-and-buttons. Mike hypothesizes that the Dell tablet is running Windows 8 but he's not sure (a problem I was originally having with my Maestro unit gave me reason to suspect a Windows OS from the error display I was getting - thankfully that is now in-the-past).

The Dell Venue 8 Pro comes with a battery that lasts over 9 hrs and costs (discontinued now) $300.
