We are currently having some server resource contention issues.  Please be patient and if you experience an issue downloading, please wait a few minutes and try again.  Repeatedly trying to download over and over again will only exacerbate the problem.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

I had a small hiccup on install. It told me the radio was not compatible. I clicked OK on the error message and click UPGRADE again and it worked.

You can see the video of my upgrade here. I thought a bit too late to add the second camera so you don't get to see the beginning of the upgrade with the purple led and the Upgrading message on the LCD.

1.6.17 up and running like a champ with all of the usual suite; DDUtil, HRDLog, DM780, HRD Rotator, SDR Bridge, CW Skimmer, FR Stacks & FR Meter.  It installed with nary a hiccup.

I noticed with MON enabled, the XMIT digital tones are heard in the speaker.  That seems new to me.

Not new.  Digital mode MON has been a feature for a while.

Mon is not the issue and I can't get the DAX drivers to uninstall on 1.617.

getting Dax driver may not be properly installed error message

Is there a corresponding firmware update with this SW update this time?

    Thanks,

There is effectively a firmware update with every release of SSDR.  That's why initially it tells you the radio needs to be upgraded.

That's what I thought. The reason I asked is the radio did not do the usual purple light firmware update this time..

    Did yours?

Usually SSDR stops you and says "Update Firmware"

    Thanks

There is a firmware release with every version of SmartSDR.  If you are running the 1.6.17 GUI with your radio and it isn't wanting to upgrade, then you have the proper firmware loaded.
