Latest revision 0.13.10, Flex 6700. First slice set to CW, 100 bandwidth, 14.020. Click on "+RX", the 2nd slice comes up on the same frequency; but, on USB. It should be CW. The original slice is no longer marked as transmit (this is probably OK...as when you move the slice, you need to determine where you wish to transmit.) I now agree that this is handy for split operation as it is easier to see than 2 panadapters. The "flags" no longer overlap which makes this feature quite useful.

This is actually a feature request. What you are asking for is a feature that will automatically default to the preferred mode based on the frequency where the slice is created. This is not related to persistence, but is one that is related to Band Plans as they will define the preferred mode based on frequency.

As an extension of this idea I would like to see the ability to optionally, and explicitly select the mode when creating a new slice regardless of band segment mode conventions. Basically add a pop up context menu with all the mode options available when you hover over (or maybe right click??) the "+RX", and also the via the right click "Create Slice" context menu.

This will allow the user to pick a mode independently, and also one that may not necessarily match the band segment conventions at slice creation time vs. all the extra steps needed to change it after the fact.

And if the user does not explicitly pick a different mode, then the band segment mode convention rules are applied. Here's a crude visual mock up of the idea...

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
