PowerSDR VAC volume control for Direct I/Q?

I have recently started using a program which uses I/Q input, and it is working perfectly with PowerSDR.  I have noticed that the RX gain control on the VAC tab has no effect on the signal level, unlike the non-I/Q feed.  Is this to be expected?

This is by design.  The VAC output gain (volume) for IQ data is fixed.
