Erratic changes of receive ports.

The receiving antenna port designation on my Flex 6700 running version 1.4.11.60 hops around erratically. It inserts Loop A or Loop B resulting in no signal and sometimes strange noise and "phantom" signals every 10 to 20 KHz. This is especially bad on 20 meters. This only started happening with the latest software version. I'll see ANT 1 with Loop B for receive, something I've never intentionally set. I have to hop around to different antenna settings and eventually release the Loop B (sometimes it is Loop A) and then, mysteriously, I get the ANT 1 I'm seeking. So far I've not been able to establish a consistent pattern.

Just an uneducated guess but could your logging program be sending commands to the rig causing this? I was told they changed some commands. Try not running the log for a while and see if it stops.0

I'm not running any logging or CAT or any other programs.0

Correction: I am running DM780 to decode digital, but I've been doing that with all other versions of Flex software. In any case, I'll do some checking. Thanks for the idea.0

This sounds like band persistence is changing it based on a previous setting. Can you provide a more detailed of exactly what you are doing when this happens?0
