NF raises when TX

When transmitting on 10M this evening trying to work FT5ZM the entire NF jumps from about -128 dB up to -70 while transmitting with multiple vertical lines throughout the display.

    With the preamp on you are overloading the receiver.  You can either:

    1. Turn off the preamp
    2. Listen using a different antenna (RX/TX on different antennas for isolation)
    3. Just understand that the signal will overload the receiver when in transmit with the preamp on

    Thanks Steve.  Preamp is pretty necessary on 10M otherwise its pretty deaf  here.  And I need the gain for DX from my 10M yagi so the one antenna is needed on both TX/RX.  Is the overload and danger to the receiver?

    Since what we see on the panadapter is not really an accurate picture of that is being transmitted I wish there was a way to switch that off alltogether or to add x amount of attenuation to the receiver during transmit.  I had an ANAN for a couple weeks waiting for the flex to get here and that is one of the things they had in their software that seemed to work reasonably well.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
