When installing SmartCat 1.2.3 with the new upgrade the SmartCat window shows COM7 in the primary cat window but there are NO Flex comports showing in device manager now.

Sometimes I have to reboot before all the COM ports show up in Device Manager on my Win 8.1 machine.

    Greg,
Try this order...It may have some redundancy, but it was always worked for me.

    Uninstall all CAT ports,

    Uninstall CAT

    Reboot Computer

    Reinstall CAT

    Reinstall ports

    Reboot again.

Then look at Control panel/device manager...

    See if that works...

After about 80 tries to install smartCat on the Win 8 system it finally took.  I did the same thing every time...nothing different.

Venture in frustration with that for sure.
