RIT / XIT operation

A suggestion: Add two buttons to the bottom of the RX slice control pull-down for XIT & RIT similar to the buttons on PSDR. Click-on, click-off for each one. But rather than a separate "Clear" button next to each one, have them clear with a "long click" of the mouse, similar to my car radio storing a new memory channel with a long press of the button. Hovering the mouse over the box will allow increase or decrease of the offset using the scroll wheel on the mouse. Or click in the RIUT/XIT display box to enter offset +/- with the keyboard. It will be nice to have this added. It seems a waste to use a separate receive slice just for small offsets. Note: This topic was created from a reply on the How do I work Split with the FLEX-6000? topic.

We have not implemented RIT/XIT yet in the software, but we will consider your suggestions when we do the feature design specification.0

I completely agree with "waste to use a separate receive slice just for small offsets." I'm not focused on the waste aspect but rather GUI problems of using slices. With small splits, the overlapping slice info panels until you get the TX set and then hidden is messy. But trying to juggle to slice info panels, zooming in, etc is tricky. Then to move the TX freq unhide the info.0

The overlapping slice info panels ("flags") until you get the TX set and then hidden issue will be resolved in the next release of SmartSDR Preview.0

Will the RIT/XIT step be fixed or adjustable. I think the finer the better AND controlled by either the +/-, up/dn arrows, or the FlexControl (FC) When RIT/XIT is enabled and that slice is in focus, FC adjusts RIT/XIT. On/Off to disable. Once disabled FC reverts to normal frequency step. Focus change, FC reverts to selected Slice's tune or RIT/XIT operation.0
