Question on using Common-Radio Audio Driver for an extrnl feed

I have confirmed that the Common-Radio Audio Driver is installed correctly. Audio MIDI Setup shows CommonRadioAudio In 1–4 and CommonRadioAudio Out 1–4.

My question is:

Should audio played to CommonRadioAudio In 1 immediately produce activity on the SmartSDR DAX TX meter, or is additional configuration inside SmartSDR required before that virtual device is connected to a transmit stream?

In other words, is the existence of the CommonRadioAudio device sufficient, or must it first be explicitly bound to a slice or DAX TX channel before audio will be accepted?
