8400M Profile Settings

Options

There is a Global Profile and the two choices are:

SO2RDefault or just Default

The TX Profile choices are:

SO2R_TX1

SO2R_TX2

Default

I do contest and I use N1MM. I also will use both slices A and B for a contest.

What should my profiles be set to for the Global as well as the TX Profiles?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Mark…Profiles record your personal operating preferences so nobody can tell you what you should do. Set your radio up the way you want then save it as a new profile. If it's not perfect the first time tweak it and re-save.

I have over 25 global profiles for different bands and modes, along with 3-4 transmit profiles and a couple of microphone profiles depending upon where I want to use processing or not. Some might have more, some might think that's excessive. It doesn't matter, it works for me.

Knowing which functions are saved by global/transmit/microphone will save you a lot of time, and that's spelled out in the software manual. Also check youtube as there are plenty of videos related to profiles there.

    Happy hamming.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
