Success with connecting SSDR Windows and MacOS on AT&T streaming wireless

After switching from Xfinity to AT&T wireless internet and streaming, I had a problem with both Windows and Mac SSDR. Perhaps it was due to IPV6, perhaps not. The effect was that the Flex 6600 was not shown as available to connect.

I have found a pretty simple solution that will allow normal operation of both versions with the AT&T wireless modem. It goes as follows:

I purchased a GLI.net Opal, which usually functions as a "travel router" As well, I purchased an Ethernet switch. Total cost was around 40 USD, very inexpensive.

I set up the Opal as a LAN using the web interface of the Router.

I connected a USB cable between my AT&T wireless modem to the USB on the Opal travel router. I could have used the Wireless repeater function on the Opal as well.

Turned it on, set the ethernet cable switch to the travel router, and now it connects andworks great on both the Windows and Mac sides.

Hope this helps anyone in the same situation.
