CW Pitch and Delay

Hi All,

In a logbook I am developping I have a tab for control of the flexradio, the problem is it seems like the pitch and delay of CW is not properly announced by the API it is always 6 00 hz and 5ms no matter if I change on SmartSDR

S5C219C46|transmit sb_monitor=0 mon_gain_sb=80 mon_pan_sb=50 pitch=600 speed=30 iambic=1 iambic_mode=
1 swap_paddles=0 break_in=1 break_in_delay=5 cwl_enabled=0 sidetone=1 mon_gain_cw=35 mon_pan_cw=50 synccwx=1

while in SmartSDR I have 150 delay and 550 hz pitch.

Is there any ohter way to get the accurate value than a sub tx all ?

Thanks

    Hello Greg,

I believe the problem is that your client is not bound to a specific GUI client. In the multi-flex world, you can have 2 GUI clients connected to a Flex radio that each have their own CW parameters.

It looks like the transmit status messages for non-GUI clients that are not bound to a specific GUI client contain default parameters for the CW pitch etc. Which is misleading and could be classified as an API bug I think. Better would be not to include those parameters if the client is not bound to a GUI.

    HI Jonathan,

    Interesting, thanks for this info.

I found the break in delay by subscribing to CWX but could not find anywhere else for the pitch. Gonna look into this biding to a GUI client further.

The last time I looked at the API Wiki, the bind command was not documented properly. When I get home from breakfast (at a French bakery 🙂), I will post my write-up of the command.

    Jonathan's assessment is correct.

Here is my description of the bind command. This did not come from Flex; it came from my experience in making it work.

    I hope this helps.

Great to hear! The bind command made a huge difference in the TeensyMaestro. It is more important than most people realize.
