AetherSDR - AetherVoice - Mic Issues

Hi Everyone,

I have an 8400 and am playing with AetherSDR (26.6.6.1) for the first time. I am intrigued by the AetherVoice software but can not get past the most basic hurdle of getting it to recognise the PR781 that I use. The MIC light at the start of the audio chain does not light up green.

The PR781 is plugged straight into the back of the 8400 and, when using SSDR for Mac, I select MIC to transmit. However, in AetherVoice with MIC selected the is no audio showing on any of the meters. If I switch to PC on the other hand I see some weak movements of the meters. I am guessing that this is audio from my MacBook's mic and not the PR781.

So, I guess the question is: can one use AetherVoice and a PR781 plugged directly into the back of an 8400?

(AetherSDR will TX PR781 audio outside of AetherVoice just fine by the way.)

Thanks!

David

No. AetherVoice chain starts with a microphone into the computer. It requires the computer for the various modules to function.
