Aurora errors

Well, once again I find myself fighting numerous interlock errors and return loss faults on my AU-510

My SWR is less than 1.2:1 on 80 meters. I even backed my power down to 100 watts to see if it would help. It doesnt matter. And I have audio coming back into my speakers when transmitting. Ive gone all the way down to QRP levels and still have the audio issue. Drives me nuts! I have none of these problems with my 6600 running 100watts. Same antenna. I guess thats what I get for buying into version 1 of a new radio

This radio has gone back to Flex once already for a check up. Im a little frustrated

Im using ver 4.2.18

Im starting to consider selling this radio and just sticking with my 6600. At least it works

Hi Scott, this has happened to my AU-510 soon after I received it. I sent it back and they found nothing wrong. What did they find with yours? I have been using mine daily for the past few months and have not had a interlock problem come back. I previously owned a 6500 and never had an interlock problem.

I got the canned response about using a low setting when using the tuner. Which had nothing to do with the problem They also mentioned something about an engineering update ? Ill have to look at the print out they sent. Otherwise Im not sure what they did, if anything.

Saying that, it has been working just fine since it came back until today. Although the audio in the speakers has been there since day 1. Ive got isolation on the speaker and ferrites. Still happen even with a few watts of power. Not sure whats up with that?

And the 6600 has NONE of these issues. Using same antennas.

I will stay the course and see if a future fix solves the issue. The newest item is my PC quits out of the blue and then restarts. Too early to tell whats causing that.

i had audio feedback with my 8600M and NOT 6600M; It needed RF chokes on the mic and spkr input so bought the kit for feedback RF chokes so far no problems with the aurora;
