Tuner Genius Tuning solutions and Bypass Mode

Hello,
I am the new owner of a Tuner Genius XL SO2R and Power Genius XL SO2R. I have them integrated to my Icom IC-7851. I have my CI-V cable going to the Power Genius and Genius Integration enabled in the Tuner Genius.
Both units receive the CAT frequency just fine.
I have a SteppIR DB-18E, so I went to the Band Configuration tab in the TGXL and enabled bypass on 40m through 10m. For my 80m vertical, I tuned every 25kHz across the band and it got a solution of 1.25/1 or less in all cases. When I moved up and down the band, the tuner apparently chose those solutions and kept the SWR under 1.23/1 across the band.
I changed to 15m. The TGXL only goes in bypass mode if I manually select it. My expectation is that in Operate mode it would automatically select it. I even tried putting a frequency range in for the entire band, but no change.
I switched back to Operate mode and went back to 80m. The tuner seems to have forgotten my tuning solutions and I had to press Tune again. My expectation is that it would remember the tuning solutions.
Are there steps I am missing in the setup? These two items seem like pretty basic features.
Thanks,
Dave AA4VT
