Flex control not tunning

Hi all — posting a bug report for the FlexControl USB tuning knob on Windows with AetherSDR v0.08.

Setup:
• Radio: FlexRadio FLEX-8600
• AetherSDR version: 0.08
• OS: Windows
• FlexControl driver: installed and visible in Device Manager as "FlexControl USB" on COM 99

The flex control works great with Smart SDR v4.1.5, not with Aether

Steps taken:

  1. Closed all other software (SmartSDR, DAX, SmartCAT, logging/digital mode apps)
  2. Rebooted the PC with FlexControl unplugged
  3. Plugged FlexControl back in — Device Manager confirms it on COM 99
  4. Launched AetherSDR only — no other software running
  5. In Settings, FlexControl shows as Enabled and COM 99 is selected
  6. A slice is active on the panadapter

Symptom:
The FlexControl shows as connected in AetherSDR settings, but rotating the knob has no effect on the VFO frequency. The radio does not tune.

Notes:
• COM port conflict was ruled out by assigning to COM 99 and rebooting clean
• USB power saving was disabled for the device in Device Manager
• Issue is consistent across multiple attempts

Is this a known Windows-specific issue with the FlexControl HID/serial input handling? Any guidance appreciated. Happy to test any fixes or provide additional logs if helpful.

Thanks for all the great work on this project — 73
