Writelog Version 12.96 C to work with Flex 8400M Series

I have the most current version of Writelog Software for Contesting. But I am having one heck of a time getting it to work with my 8400M. Either I don't have something set correctly in the Setup/Ports Section or it could be something else that is either wrong with the Software Setup or my SmartSDR CAT program or whatever. Has anyone out in Flexradio Land have this software program working without issues with your Flexradio 8000 Series of radio's? If so can you help me?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
