SmartSDR on virtual machines

Hi everyone,

With the recent release of ArtherSDR and its rapid development, combined with my growing frustration with Windows 11, I'm planning to switch my main computer to Linux.

However, I still need to run SmartSDR from time to time. I tried installing it in a KVM/QEMU virtual machine running Windows 11, but the CPU usage was very high and SmartSDR didn't perform well at all.

Has anyone here successfully run SmartSDR in a virtual machine (KVM/QEMU, VirtualBox, VMware, etc.) with acceptable performance?

Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and 73!

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
