New app for Mac SmartSDR and MacLoggerDX users: FlexSpotBridge

There's a SmartSDR for Windows feature that's missing from Mac SmartSDR. Namely, clicking on a spot does not send that spot information from the app to your logging program.

I use the popular MacLoggerDX (MLDX), and simply wanted to click a spot, and squirt that to MLDX, which would do a lookup. (I'm lazy and type as little as possible.)

This is now possible with FlexSpotBridge for macOS. It's a small standalone companion app that bridges the Mac SmartSDR → MacLoggerDX gap, amongst other things, including:

  • Optional automatic mode switching based on band-plan ranges
  • Optional duplicate-spot cleanup using a configurable duplicate frequency threshold (Hz)
  • Optional Auto-Dupe Elimination Threshold to mirror the current Flex filter bandwidth
  • Optional automatic removal of old spots by age
  • Custom spot colors and backgrounds, configurable based on age
  • Clickable color swatches with native macOS color picker integration
  • Independent toggles for updating spot text color and background color
  • GUI window with live log output
  • User-adjustable settings (radio IP/port and behavior toggles)
  • Menu bar integration with Preferences and Clear All Spots (⌘L)
