Flex 6300/Behringer UMC404HD/Voice Meeter Potato
TACO
Member ✭✭
This may be a long shot. Here goes. I am running my Flex 6300 from a remote location and want to use my Heil PR-781 at that location connected to a Behringer UMC404HD Interface and then into a Voice Meeter Potato Virtual Audio Mixer program on my computer. Is anyone using this setup? If so, any pointers on how to get this all connected? There are a lot of moving parts for this configuration. I am able to get a signal from the mic to the Behringer and able to get deflection on the input meter in the Potato program but when I key the MOX button on Smart SDR, there is no modulation. Obviously, something is not set up correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Scott,
I have the Potato, but I use it only for PC audio. My Flex is the Model 8600, but I think it's not much different with the 6300. On the Potato, you need to connect one of the five hardware outputs to the “DAX Audio TX” on the SmartSDR and assign your microphone to the selected A1..A5.
Then you need to enable DAX in SmartSDR.

Klaus, thanks for the reply. This was helpful. I was not using the DAX so that solved a lot of my problems. The only issue I am having now is my audio is "warbly" like there is a reverb or delay turned on somewhere. I looked at all the places I know of and nothing is turned on that I can see. Do you have any suggestions for this?0

Scott,I assume that only the output who you using is active on the hardware input and that the monitor is disabled on the SmartSdr.Other possible causes:
- The microphone is assigned to an input in the Windows Sound Manager
- The gain is set too high in DAX
- The equalizer is set incorrectly in the Potato input
- Or the compressor, Special FX, or External FX is active in Potato
I can’t think of anything else right now
