How do I setup PTT using an external keyboard button or footswitch

I have an external single button keyboard button. I wire the PTT from my Flex FHM-3 microphone in parallel with the pushbutton and programmed it for scroll lock. I had it working with my PTT button on the microphone. After some difficulties with other SmartSDR setups, I lost the ability for the PTT to function and I don't remember what I did the first time. Can anyone tell me how to set this up or point me to information about it setting it up on my PC using SmartSDR 4.1.5?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
