Update from SSDR V2.1 to V4 on Flex 6500 failed -- what now?

When I tried to update my old version of SSDR V2.1 to V4.0.1 a few weeks ago it failed, though I followed the instructions on disconnecting power to reboot the radio. I see there is now a later version available. Does the latest version fix my update problem or do I need to do something else to get my 6500 running again? Am using Windows 11, recently updated. If I need to pay for the upgrade I'm fine with doing that.

Thanks, Bill KA6T

I submitted a Help Desk ticket to assist with this very issue. The reply: "Issues that prevented updates from SmartSDR v2.12.1 were fixed in SmartSDR v4.1.5." I was able to upgrade directly to 4.1.5. without difficulty.

Hi Bill, do the upgrade to 4.1.5 to see if that fixes the issue. If not, submit a help desk ticket. At one point in time, there was a problem upgrading from V2. I am not sure if that is fixed in 4.1.5, but it is worth a try.

You don't need to upgrade to SmartSDR+, but you may want to. Check the feature list on the Flex website to see what features you would get.

Thanks, Len and Tim, upgrading to SSDR v.4.1.5 fixed the problem, and I can now get back to enjoying using the radio.
