Should you hear a relay click when exiting SmartSDR software on a Flex 8600

After being a Flex user since the 6300 and now having an 8600 I am wondering about something.

I just started noticing that I hear a relay click when SmartSDR starts up to connect to my 8600 but I don't notice the relay clicking to "disengage" when I exit SmartSDR. I thought I remembered hearing the relay click upon closing down SmartSDR. Either I am losing my mind or something is acting differently. I am concerned that when using another radio at my station that the 8600 may still have RX relay engaged rather than turn off.

Maybe not hearing a relay click when exiting SmartSDR is normal.

I wonder if others are experiencing what I am and thus this is normal operation. I only hear the relay click when I start SmartSDR on any occasion.

CHATGPT response seems to think this is normal and perhaps previous firmware a click might have been heard.
