Flex 1500/3000/5000 and 60m question

Is there a way to get coverage for the new 60m band for the older rigs? I have a 1500 and a 3000 and since I do a lot of QRP I'd like to see if there's a way to TX on the new part of 60m. I wouldn't even care if it's a "MARS mod" or TURF file, whatever it takes to get the new frequencies would be nice.

Thanks,
Kerry, WD5ABC

Hi Kerry… I don't even know if the 'legacy' rigs use TURF files.

Best bet would be to submit a Help Desk ticket and see what they say.

If I remember another thread properly, but I believe the new 60m allocation for the US is still in 'we'll see' mode. It hasn't been actually added to the ham spectrum in the US (yet). Or, if you're talking about the entire 60m channels, etc. then definitely check with the Help Desk.
