8400 out the box and SSDR 4.1.3

Perhaps Flex has Jim K4LJE on their payroll . I heard him calling CQ on 20M as I literally connected the Flex stock hand mic to the new 8400 for the first time, using the default FHM-3 DX mic profile . K4LJE told me not to change a thing and said the audio was "great" . A good first QSO .

I'm waiting on the arrival of an adapter to hook in the new PR-781 , due in a few days .

I am familiar with SSDR operations from previous Flex ownership . I have dabbled with the new NR options and they have some interesting results , a couple were very good. Autotune seems good but I need to figure out why it works sometimes and not others . Probably operator error. I am re-familiarizing myself with AGC-T operations, it is a good feature.

I am sharing this 8400 with a friend across the lake in Ontario . He just upgraded to the latest free SSDR ,. When he connects via Smartlink am I correct in thinking he gets the extra features through my station's subscription ?

Yes, the subscription belongs to the radio. The latest SmartSDR client will control whatever the radio is licensed for. ( remote user or local user)

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
