profiles not working properly

I use profiles a lot, and have for several years. But they don't work right, and have never been right, at least not in my shack. Not in SSDR or on the 8400M radio face.

For instance I create a profile for 20 meter CW barefoot. Save the profile, then recall the profile. That works ok. But if I choose a different profile then choose the 20 meter profile I just saved then the sidetone and pitch are almost always reset to 80 and 530 respectively. Sometimes delay and tune power are reset, but not always.

Have done this on the radio and in SSDR. Have saved a couple times and then recalled with the same result. Did the same thing using SSDR and get the same results. Both with and without the auto save feature turned on. Sometimes the profile is ok when loaded from the radio but it is never correct when I load from SSDR.

Just installed v 4.0.1 with same results as I had with several prior versions. And yes I carefully followed all the timing instructions for doing full resets, and v 4.0.1 is working well. I think the profiles are the same on the radio face and in SSDR so why do I get different results between where the profiles are loaded from.

Had this problem using my old Windoze 10 desktop, Windoze 10 laptop and now it works the same with my new Windoze 11 PC, so I don't think it is the computer.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or maybe it is localized to my shack? Trouble ticket time?
