SmartSDR for Mac/iPad to track satellites using CSN S.A.T controller remote via TailScale?

Marcus has recently enabled SmartSDR for Mac/iPad to track satellites using CSN S.A.T controller, he has also enabled this feature to be used remotely.

However he recommends this feature being accomplished via a self hosted VPN.

As many of us use TailScale for remote connection to the shack for NodeRed etc, I have tried to use this for remote  for the satellite connection, managing to get a remote connection to the radio using TailScale however although it connects I am not seeing any waterfall and receive no audio.

So have any network and/or TailScale guru’s  got this working or able to tell me what I am missing?
