Maestro C model and mic settings

Hope someone can assist...

I have a Maestro C and seem to be having issues with the microphone. I'm using the Radiosport mic/hdst combo. It is connected to HDST on the Maestro and through a foot switch to PTT. It was working sort of, audio reports received indicated some noise, one described it as sounding like a paper shredder. I tried different mic profiles, but can't find anything that works. Now it has no audio out. Could someone walk me through how to get this set up?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
