SmartSDR IOS Logging

Hello-

I recently transitioned from SmartSDR for Windows to IOS (using an IPad Pro).

The built-in logging feature seems fine, but during contesting I like having another separate window (on another monitor) for logging. Can anyone recommend a compatible program?

The same goes for FT8 contesting, but the built-in feature seems good. I know WSJT isn’t for IOS (yet) and I’m not thrilled about an emulator.

Thank you.

    Hi Scott -

For the iPadOS world, I think you're pretty limited in good contesting software. While there are a some that claim to do contesting (SmartLogger, for example), I haven't seen any that integrate with SmartSDR for iOS. You'll be stuck manually entering frequencies, call signs, etc.

Frankly, you might just look at getting a true Mac. Even a simple M1 Mac Mini runs SmartSDR beautifully, and opens up more possibilities, like SkookumLogger, and Software Defined Connectors, which are true contest logging apps.

    Good luck!

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
