MacSDR + SDC, did something get changed to make them not work together?

I have been running, without issue, SDC (skimmer) with smartSDR Mac for many months but suddenly SDC does not show anything. The only update that I know of is smartSDR Mac. Did that break the use of SDC?

My setup is MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1, FLex 6400 3.9.19, SmartSDR 2.9.84, SDC 17.3402MacOS is all that I am running.

Any suggestions or things to check would be helpful. I have spent 2 evenings trying to get it working again.

Hi Doug -

I've been keeping current with Mac SmartSDR, and didn't notice it breaking anything related to SDC.

I do know, though, Flex firmware version 3.10.10 changed the UDP stream, which rendered most of SDC inoperable, especially the SKM Server, auto AGC, and auto panadapter settings. You're also running an older version of SDC. The latest stable release is 19.02.

If updating SDC doesn't work, you could try doing a complete de/re-install of both Mac SmartSDR and SDC. I recommend the free and very effective "AppCleaner" app, available here: https://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/

I have to take a moment and vent about the future of computers if this is the quality of programming we will have to deal with. A running system SHOULD NOT just stop running if no changes were made and there wasn't a hardware failure. (just retired from over 50 years of programming and networking and all I can say is what I said in 1975…. "Computers are not here to stay". )

That said….

I downloaded SDC 19.02 but it will not run. It just complains about being corrupt and should be trashed. No other indication of what its problem is.

I have wasted many hours that I could have been on the air trying to get something running that was running so at this point I'm just going to throw in the towel it an move on.

Maybe Marcus can build it in so we don't have to **** around with external programs and just operate. The skimmer was nice to be able to "see" who was out there but I can still do it the old school way…it just takes longer.

doug sounds like you have run into ssdr 3.10.10 daxIQ issue witrh sdc… which bill (k3cdy) has stated above

i don t know if uri has been able to fix sdc for mac running a flex radio WITH 3.10.10

SDC still runs fine with flex radio on 3.9.19 as i run 6600m i am all macs here and macssdr and sdc with no issues to have cwskimmer working fine..

i have macs both on macos 26 Tahoe as well as Sequioa nor mac

it is not a macssdr issue…it is sdc /flex radio interface issue
