Yaesu Quadra VL-1000 who is using one and will you help me?

I just recently picked up a quadra at the Huntsville show and am now trying to get it set up and working but I am having some issues. I was wondering if someone who has one could double check my setup and help me understand if I just don't know what I am doing or if I need to find a repair shop. I can not get the ALC alignment to work or the tuner and it does not appear to be putting out any power. It is following the radio via cat / usb cable as mentioned in the other threads.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
